Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the right size urn?

Urns are sized based on volume - measured in litres - to hold the ashes after cremation.

As a general guide:

  • Adults, you’ll want an urn that holds at least 2.6 litres
  • Children, aim for around 1–2 litres depending on age and weight.
  • Infants, urns with up to 500ml capacity are usually sufficient.

What’s the difference between a full-size urn and a keepsake urn?

A full-size urn is designed to hold all of one person’s ashes. Keepsake urns are smaller — made to hold just a portion. These are ideal for families sharing ashes or keeping a small amount alongside scattering.

Can I use your urns for scattering ashes?

Yes - we offer scattering tubes that are specifically designed for that purpose. They are lightweight, biodegradable, and easy to use.

Do I need to transfer the ashes myself?

That depends. Funeral homes and crematoriums can usually help with transferring ashes. Many of our urns also allow you to place the ashes (in the temporary container they come in) with no decanting necessary.
